Following an investigation into crimes committed in the context of the war in Gaza, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has determined that, since 7 October 2023, Israel has systematically carried out attacks on civilians, hospitals, and infrastructure, killing and injuring thousands of civilians and rendering residential areas uninhabitable.
Procedure
On 7 November 2025, Türkiye has issued arrest warrants for alleged genocide and crimes against humanity against the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and 36 senior officials within his government, including the Defence Minister, Israel Katz, the National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the Army Chief Lt Gen Eyal Zamir.
